The image Bryan Ferry puts over is one of the smooth, cool, debonair lover - knowing, attentive, a connoisseur of fine things, art, literature, music and wine - yet remaining slightly detached, distant, aloof and not a little melancholic. I imagine he would be good company, although some of his leisure activities may not be to my taste. Despite that, I've stuck with him for over fifty years now.
