THE TEMPTATIONS

Now, I love Motown and so many of its artists and groups, but, if I had to choose just one to take to that desert island, then it would be The Temptations. They were great in the David Ruffin/Eddie Kendricks years but managed to continue the quality into the early seventies, despite two wonderful vocalists like that leaving the group. Indeed, surprising as it may sound, some of their finest recordings come from the early seventies.
