The Four Tops: Keeper Of The Castle - 1972

Now for a surprise -
this album was notably released on ABC Records not Motown and it showcased a much grittier, funkier sound in the clavinet-driven and brassy Turn On The Light Of Your LoveRemember What I Told You To ForgetPut A Little Love Away, the fabulously funky Temptations-esque soul of Keeper Of The Castle as well the beautifully soulful Ain't No Woman (Like The One I've Got)

It was an album that exemplified the notable early seventies change in The Four Tops' music. Some good material on here. It is an album that I really like, but, as with many of these ones from the seventies, I can't find too much to write about them. They don't require much analysis, if any.
